چکیده

Objective: To explore the circular capsulorhexis method and its clinical effect in phacoemulsification of hypermature cataract without staining. Methods: In this prospective randomized case-control study, 22 patients (22 eyes) with were randomly divided into a staining agent group (10 cases, 10 non-staining (12 12 eyes). Both groups underwent foldable intraocular lens implantation under topical anesthesia. group, 0.5% indocyanine green was used to stain anterior capsule assist capsulorhexis; after puncturing aspirating liquefied cortical material, capsular bag filled viscoelastic increase contrast prior capsulorhexis. The operability observed, capsulorhexis, diameter opening, operative time compared analyzed between two groups. Results: successfully success rate 100%. diameters opening 5.68 ± 0.15 mm 5.54 0.16 mm, respectively, any statistical difference (P > 0.05); (40.40 5.42 s) shorter than that (50.92 3.97 s), statistically significant < 0.001). both groups, successful, implanted bags; their visual acuity showed improvement during 1-month follow-up period surgery, surgical complications. Conclusion: cataract, injecting for volume replacement, given lack agent, can reduce risk large collapse on zonular ligament. Thus, it is considered safe effective. Circular conducive smooth procedure.

Continuous curvilinear (circular) capsulorhexis and planned extracapsular cataract extraction--are they compatible?

The successful use of continuous curvilinear (circular) capsulorhexis (CCC) in planned extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) is dependent on the feasibility of safe nuclear delivery through the smaller anterior capsular opening. Experimental evidence supports the proposition that the anterior capsular rim can stretch without tearing to dimensions which allow for safe nucleus delivery. Clinic...

Staining of the lens capsule for circular continuous capsulorrhexis in eyes with white cataract.

We have developed a technique of staining the anterior capsule with a solution of indocyanine green that facilitates performance of the circular continuous capsulorrhexis in eyes with a mature cataract. We compared the results of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in 10 eyes with the capsule stained with results of 10 eyes having the same procedure with standard circular cont...

Vacuum-Assisted Continuous Circular Capsulorhexis Using Bimanual Irrigation and Aspiration System of Phaco Machine in Immature Cataract

Seventy-eight eye of 65 patients were enrolled in this retrospective clinical study. Two-side ports are made with a 23-gauge stiletto knife. The irrigation handpiece is introduced into the anterior chamber through one side port and 27-gauge cystotome is introduced through the other one. Anterior capsular flap is created with cystotome. The capsular flap is vacuumed with a 25-gauge visco elastic...
